We are humbled by the outcome of our Rooted conference. There aren’t really adequate words to describe what the Lord did, so we will just say….

Thank you, Jesus.

SNOW. ❄️❄️❄️ Here in the PNW, we woke

SNOW. ❄️❄️❄️

Here in the PNW, we woke up to snow this morning. If you know me (Ali) well, you know that I am a vitamin D girl all.the.way, so I wasn’t exactly excited as I drove to work today.

As I made my way to the office slowly behind the dizzying flakes in the windshield, the Lord spoke to me gently:

“Isn’t it fitting that I would bring snow on Ash Wednesday?”

Psalm 51:7-10 says:

“Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones that you have broken rejoice. Hide your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.”

Instead of grumbling about the winter weather, I felt convicted to use it as a reminder of these verses; that though my sins are scarlet, He has made them white as snow.

As we enter the Lenten season today, may we come before Him in repentance and humility, asking where there needs to be less of us and more of Him in our lives (John 3:30).
